New Year's Eve, 2009, and we partied like ROCK STARS middle-aged boring parents but we and our bad selves had a rockin' good time! Of course it's not all about the food (wink, wink) but since hubs only worked a half day and they asked me to work a full day (yuck), he went to the store and put together this wonderful buffet (no, the Pet-Tabs are our dogs' vitamins, we restrained ourselves) ~
Total head count: 2
I miss the days when we were the fun ones the kids wanted to be with, but they do grow and go and they were going in various directions last night. Being the giving souls they are though, I'm sure they'll help with the leftovers.
I hope you and your loved ones have a happy, healthy 2010 ~

You are too funny. Your food looked yummy though. We do dinner and a movie. Head count 2 also:)
Happy New Year.
Having a giveaway at my blog today:)
Happy New Year! My husband got called out to work last night, my daughter was at a youth group party, and my son was fast asleep so I rang the new year in with a party of one. Don't cry for me, I drank some bubbly and listened to my crazy neighbors! ;D
Okay, YUM! So jealous. My party food last night consisted of burnt rice pilaf, some tostitos w/ salsa con queso, and doritos! =/
Gotta love shrimp & the mini hot dogs. Mmm, getting hungry as we speak! LOL
I am just wondering what it means about John and I...we were in bed by 10. We used the excuse that we had to have his sister to the airport by 6 this morning...but to be honest I think we would have used any excuse to be in bed early. Yikes...we are getting old.
Happy New Year Beth!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!!!! I hope that 2010 is a good one!!
Um....your party of 2 could have been a party of 4! I looked on the caller i.d. to see if you had called, and I do see that we missed the call. Dang!! That food looked very yummy!!!!! But I bet our Pizza Hut was just as good......NOT!!! That's it, I guess we were picking up our pizza when you called. So sorry we missed your call. Oh well. Maybe next time.
You know I am just giving you sh@t, sister!!!!! Have a wonderful New Year, and we have got to get together soon so we can catch up. We might need to do a pajama party, it's been so long since we've had time to chat!!!!
P.S. Love the picture of you and Scott!
What a cute post...I agree, when the kids come into their own...we as parents are rather boring....we certainly did not have a blow out around here...much like any other night...oh well, it was still nice....your husband did a great job on your dinner....kudos to him! Happy New Year!
Hee hee. We managed to stay up till 10 past 12 - dirty stop outs! But my 23 year old son also stayed in with his fiance. DH called him an 'old man' lol!
Your 'feast' looks lovely, we had snacky stuff for lunch today it was great.

Party food? I'm afraid that I didn't even think of party food for us! lol Anyway it would have just been me and my 5yob eating it. My husband took my daughter with him to a wake of a co-workers dad and they didn't get home until 10. We did manage to stay up and watch the ball drop but gee they don't really show the ball. After all of the money that is spent on that thing and they barely showed it!
Happy New Year!

Sounds like a wonderful evening to me!
WHAT A NICE HUB...AND IT ALL LOOKS SO GOOD! ME AND MINE WENT OUT AND FOR AN OVER NIGHTER,,FUN! HAVE A GREAT YEAR NEW FRIEND...:D
Yummy!
Sounds a lot like our New Years Eve!
Dang, if we lived closer to each other, we would've had the the same party and it would have been for 5. I don't know why Blogger isn't updating my posts, but I've written two posts since the one showing and I bet you won't guess who had a sadder New Years than you?? Go on guess or you can read about it.
The fact is we made it to 2010, another year we get to see if we can get it together. Let's make it a good one, shall we??

I would have been glad to help with that buffet, you know if I had been awake at that time :) Looks wonderful!
It sounds like my kind of evening. No noise! Happy New year to you and have a great weekend!
the food looks yummy! we also had a headcount of 2 but by 10:30 the headcount was down to 1. mine was on the pillow in dreamland! happy new year!
What is that thing on the lady's head?!
My dad used to put together a meat and cheese tray when I was growing up. I vaguely remember staying up to watch the ball drop. I don't remember what we did the last day of 2009... What did we even eat? I know we ate... Wow... I'm getting old. I can remember my childhood, but not the recent past.
Sounds like the perfect New Years! Here's to a wonderful 2010!
